RockyMounts Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2021 Dodge Durango- Video
Hi, everyone. It's Evangeline right here at etrailer, and today, we're gonna be taking a look at how the RockyMounts AfterParty Swing Out Bike Rack fits on the 2021 Dodge Durango. So the AfterParty is gonna be a dual-wheel mount rack with a high weight capacity for heavy electric bikes. It's pretty much the same as the RockyMounts Guide Rail, but it has an extra feature which is that this can swing out towards the passenger side. Now some things on the Durango, especially with this hitch receiver, is that this is gonna have a lot of height compared to other bike racks. So if you do have a 60-pound bike, that's something you have to consider is that you have to lift that up and onto this rack. more

Inno Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2021 Dodge Durango- Video
Hey there, it's Evangeline here at etrailer and today we're gonna be taking a look at the Inno Tire Hold HD two bike platform rack for your heavy electric bikes and we'll see how it fits here on our 2021 Dodge Durango. So the HD is gonna be really good for those heavy bikes with a weight capacity of 80 pounds per bike. Awesome, very impressive. Now for a Durango though, there are some things you're gonna have to consider with this vehicle. The first one is that it's gonna be really high up off the ground, so I highly recommend grabbing the Inno Tire Hold ramp that's sold separately, add-on accessory that instead of having to lift the bikes up and onto the rack, you can then just ramp them down. The second thing is that your tilt away functions you do lose out on with this car. more

The GuideRail is going to be a platform style bike rack able to accommodate up to two bikes with an individual weight capacity for 60 pounds each. Our two main points of contact are going to be these ratcheting lever arms, one for the front tire and one for the back tire. And what those two things basically mean together is that our heavier electric E-bikes, our carbon frame bikes and our alternative frame bikes are all going to work with this platform, which is really nice that we can carry a big variety of bikes that cannot only help suit your car but also whatever bike that you have. The GuideRail does also have a tilt away feature where we're just going to pull the lever located at the bottom of the rack and then slowly tilt it down allowing us that full hatch access. more

Now the NV 2.0 is going to be a platform style bike rack that can accommodate up to two bikes, with a individual weight capacity for 60 pounds each. And if you take a look at our two main points of contact it's going to be our back wheel strap here and our front hook, meaning we're not making any frame contact. So overall, what that all means, is that our heavier e-bikes, our carbon frame bikes, and our alternative frame bikes are going to work with this platform. Which is a really good thing here, because the bike rack can kind of essentially grow with you, if you find yourself changing out different bike styles. more

So with this bike rack, this is gonna be a popular entry-level Kuat rack, which allows you to carry up to three bikes. Plus, it has that unique goalpost design that makes it easier to load and unload your bikes. Plus, it takes up less space when in the compact position. The downside, though, for our Durango is because you have a larger hatch and the transfer doesn't really tilt that far down, you won't be able to fully open it up. Hollywood Racks Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2021 Dodge Durango- Video
How's it going everyone Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Hollywood Racks Destination 4 Hitch Bike Rack and we're gonna see how it fits on our 2021 Dodge Durango. It's gonna be a great entry level way to get up to four bikes where you need 'em to go. The Destination 4 will be a platform style bike rack which means it's gonna hold our bike up by the tires here down at the bottom and it's capable of supporting four bikes up to 35 pounds a piece. Primarily gonna hold onto them with this rotating padded clamp here on our center mast. So it does make frame contact and we recommend not using this with carbon frame bikes. It could potentially damage them while we're driving but because we can slide up and down that center mast a little bit and the pads do rotate 180 degrees, then we should be able to accommodate a bunch of different alternative frame style bikes We also have our secondary points of contact being the straps down, one at the front and one at the back wheel. more

How's it going everyone Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Hollywood Racks Destination two hitch bike rack. We're gonna see how it fits on our 2021 Dodge Durango. The Destination two is going to be a platform style bike rack capable of supporting two bikes up to 35 pounds a piece. It's gonna be kind of an entry level bike rack so it doesn't have a ton of features, but we'll show you how it works on this vehicle. We're gonna make primary contact here with this center cradle on our center mass. It is going to make frame contact so we definitely recommend avoiding this if you have a carbon frame bike, because it does slide up and down and it rotates 360 degrees. more

Now this comes in this gray color like you see here, the Vapor, or you can get it in black so you can match it to your vehicle however you like, but this is going to be a platform style bike rack. It holds the bikes in this tray and primarily by the front wheel up here with our wheel hook. That's going to mean zero frame contact, making it good for carbon frame and alternative frame. And with a 60 pound weight capacity per bike, it's going to be good for e-bikes too. Like many other bike racks in this class, we have the ability to tilt away with the bikes loaded. more

Hi, everyone. Aidan here at etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look at the Yakima RidgeBack Hanging-Style Bike Rack on our 2019 Dodge Grand Caravan. It's going to hang the bike by the frame and hold it in place with these cradles using the zip strips up top, holding it down in the cradles. We've got two up top, and then one around the seatpost to limit that side to side movement. There's still some, but this greatly reduces it, especially compared to some of the strap style of straps that just kinda stretch over the frame. more

As you can see, there is a rubber coating on the inside of these straps along with a soft rubber insert. With these little grooves, which is going to leave space for your bike cables just so they're not smashing up against your frame. more

So if you have some e-bikes that you want to haul, just take this back one off with these two bolts and you can haul your e-bikes just as easy.So it does allow you to tilt with the bike installed. So all you really have to do is grab this blue lever down here, pull that, and it is going to tilt down. We are on a flat surface here. So with our Dodge Caravan, if we were, if we had a little bit higher elevation behind us, we might have a little bit of clearance issue right here. more

Today on our 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan, we're going to be doing a test fit on the Hollywood Racks sport rider SE2 for electric bikes. Now though it may look like a standard bike rack, it's not. It's actually built a lot more heavy duty. It features welded gussets underneath the wheel cradles to support that extra weight. It'll actually hold two electric bikes with up to 80 pounds per bike. So again, very heavy duty.Now it does support our bikes just like pretty much any other platform style biker out there. more

Hollywood Racks Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2016 Dodge Durango- Video
Hey guys. Today, we have chosen a '16 Dodge Durango and we're going to test out the Hollywood Racks Trail Rider 2-Bike Platform Rack.Now, this is going to be able to haul of the two bikes to and from the trails. It's going to have a great way of securing your bike that's kind of, it's more secure in my opinion than a lot of other bike racks out there. You can see as I'm shaking it, it's just not really moving independently from the bike rack.Our first two points of contact are going to be down here on these hook and loop straps to securing the wheels into their wheel case but really what's securing the bike most is this padded frame hook putting downward force on top of the bike, forcing it down into it's trays. It's got that nice rubber padding that's going to help protect it from, protect your bike frame from any type of scratches or abrasions.Now, let's go ahead and take the bike off and take a closer look. It's pretty easy. more

Inno Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2019 Dodge Grand Caravan- Video
Hey guys. Today we have 2019 Dodge Grand Caravan, and we're going to do a test of the Inno Vertical Four Bike Hanging Style Rack. Now Inno's kind of come up with a unique design on this bike rack. Rather than having two of the support bars be parallel to the ground, kind of right here, they're going to have two vertical bars that go up and down and grip your bike in a different way. This kind of helps out with spacing of bikes, you can kind of compact them more, so you're not adding as much length to the back of your vehicle.How it will hold your bike, we're going to have this top cradle, it's kind of wedged up between the junction of the top tube right here and the down tube, just wedged up in there. You can see we just pull it down and we strap it down with this ratchet strap and it secures it. more

You can see it's kind of angled, kinda leaning towards the vehicle. It does that because the rack itself is angled up for increased ground clearance. So it's a nice feature they added so you're not gonna have to worry too much about ground clearance.Now the bike's held in at three different points of contact. more

Now, like most platform racks, this can tilt away from the vehicle. Now we're gonna do that. We're just gonna pull our safety pin out and pull this pin and let it tilt away.Now, with our Grand Caravan, we do have a very extended hatch. So you see it makes pretty good contact with the handle bars right there, but there's still enough space to be able to reach in, grab if you need something small, or anything like that. more

Hey guys. Today we have a 2019 Dodge Grand Caravan. We're going to test fit the Hollywood Racks SE four bike platform rack. Now, this is a hitch mounted bike rack that's going to allow you to carry up to four bikes to and from the trails. The bikes you can carry has a wide variety. We have a wheel tray that's three and a half inches wide, so any tires up to that width can fit in these trays. more

Inno Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2016 dodge durango- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2016 Dodge Durango, we're going to be doing a test fit on the Inno Aero Light 4 bike rack, for inch and a quarter and two inch hitches. That part number is INH640. Now let's take a closer look at some of the features while we have a bike installed. So right here we're going to see we have a cable lock, an integrated cable lock I should say. We just go and wrap around the frame of your bikes, and then you can insert it into that notch right there. It's going to provide a nice secure feature for your bikes, so that no one can remove them. more

Swagman Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan, we're gonna be test fitting the Swagman E-Spec 2-Electric Bike Platform Rack and that's gonna be part number S64689. As you can see, we do have a bike installed so let's take a look at some of the features.Now, like I said, this is an electric bike platform rack so it has the ability to carry up to two electric bikes weighing up to 70 pounds each. So that's a pretty neat feature about it. If we come in here, we see we have these little cradles that don't pivot back and forth, however, if you loosen 'em like this, you can adjust 'em back and forth and accommodate any length bike you might have. Each cradle is gonna come with a rubber strap and a rubber protector to protect the frame of your wheel.And if we come over and see how our bike is secured, we're gonna have three different points of contact. We're gonna have this strap with this rubber protector in there to protect the frame of our wheel. more

We already have a bike installed on our rack; let's take a closer look and show off some of the features. We're gonna go ahead and start from the outside and work our way in. Looking on the end here, you see this locking point. That's for an integrated cable lock that comes with the bike rack. You pull it out of the side mast, wrap it around all four bikes, and then attach it to this point here and lock it into place, and it does come with two keys for this.Moving on to the cradles, these are adjustable back and forth and side to side like you can see here. more

Speaker 1: Today in our 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan, we're gonna be test fitting the Inno Aero Light, two bike rack, part number INH620. As you can see, it can carry up to two bikes. And we're going to start looking from the outside in and show off some of the features of this.First off, you're going to see this locking point here, and that's going to be utilized with our integrated cable lock that stores in our side mast here, to pull it up and wrap it around the bikes and attach it to this point here, and lock it into place with the lock here. And it does come with two keys for this, and then your bikes will be secured once they're installed.Moving on to the cradles, these can be moved back and forth or side to side as needed to accommodate different styles of bikes, but also to help out with loading and bike spacing. Where you bike sits, there's gonna be three points of contact. We're gonna have two straps up at the top, and then one off to the side, and that's gonna be anti-sway cradle to keep the bike from moving too far back and forth and causing bike-to-bike contact. more

Speaker 1: Today, on our 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan, we're going to be testing the Swagman Quad 2+2 two-bike and four-bike platform-style rack. Now, it's going to be part number S64692. As you can see, we already have a bike installed, so let's take a look at some of the features.Now, the first one I want to point out is that you see we have this set up for a four-bike set up. But if we come down here, we can loosen the bolt and remove it. From there, we can pull off this two-bike extension, shortening it to a two-bike rack rather than a four. So, just for those where you don't feel like taking all four bikes out, you can miniaturize it down to a two-bike rack.If we come and look at these cradles, we're going to see that they don't pivot back and forth. more

This one can tilt away from the vehicle, as well as fold up, while the others are either stationary like you see here, or they only fold up and that's it. Speaker 1: Today in our 2013 Dodge Charger we're going to be test fitting the Rocky Mount Solo One Bike Platform Rack for 1 1/4" and 2" hitches, part number RKY10007. We already have our bike installed on the rack. Let's take a closer look here and show off some of the features. What sets this apart from the other One Bike Platform Racks is this can actually tilt away from the vehicle to gain better access to your trunk. The others either just fold up against the vehicle or are pretty much stationary the entire time.We do have this in 1 1/4" right now, and I would like to emphasize with the one bike version, this can work with both Class One and Class Two hitches. However, if you we're to purchase the extension piece that adds an additional bike, this will only work with Class Two, 1 1/4" hitches.Now, to tilt this away from the vehicle, we'll come to the latch here at the front and pull that towards us, and holding onto the bike rack we'll come away. more
